Credentials

Plenty of people will give you an opinion. Few are qualified to give you a valuation.

A valuation is only worth what it survives: buyer due diligence, a courtroom, the ATO. That comes down to who signed it and what stands behind it.

AVI Certified Business Valuer

Certified with the Australian Valuers Institute (AVI 20281), the professional standard for business valuation in Australia.

AFSL-licensed

Valuations involving company equity require an Australian Financial Services Licence under ASIC rules. Ours are delivered under AFSL 563351.

Real market evidence

Every valuation is benchmarked against transaction databases covering 20,000+ SME sales, not rules of thumb.

Questions

Asked before, answered straight

How much does a business valuation cost in Australia?

It depends on the size and complexity of your business and what the valuation is for. You get a fixed quote upfront after a short confidential call. The call itself costs nothing and carries no obligation.

How long does a business valuation take?

Most valuations are delivered within 10 business days of receiving your information. Express turnaround is available when you're working to a deadline.

What makes a valuer qualified?

Look for certification with a professional body such as the Australian Valuers Institute, and an Australian Financial Services Licence where company equity is involved, which ASIC requires. Our valuers are AVI certified and operate under AFSL 563351.

Can I use the valuation for the ATO or the upcoming CGT changes?

Yes. Reports are prepared to withstand ATO scrutiny, including capital gains tax matters, employee share schemes, and restructures. With CGT changes taking effect from 1 July 2027, many owners are obtaining valuations now to establish their position.

Do you provide valuations for family law and shareholder disputes?

Yes. We regularly prepare independent expert valuation reports for family law proceedings, shareholder disputes, and partnership dissolutions across Australia. Reports are built to be court-admissible.

Is my business too small for a formal valuation?

No. We value owner-operated businesses through to large private companies, benchmarking against a database of more than 20,000 SME transactions so the result reflects real market evidence at your scale.
